Prescriptions
Online
The most efficient and preferred method of requesting a repeat prescription is to order it online.
Repeat slip
You can fill in your repeat slip and bring it in to the surgery to order your repeat prescription. There is a box located on the right hand side of the reception porch that you can put your repeat slip in or a post box on the fence located on the driveway of the surgery. You can also send your repeat slip to us by post by posting it to Harewood Surgery, Harwich Road, Great Oakley, Harwich, Essex, CO12 5AD.
Telephone
We are no longer able to telephone repeat requests.
If you are a dispensing patient and collect your medication from the surgery, please allow 48 hours from the point of ordering to the time of collection. If you collect your medication from a chemist, please speak to the chemist where your prescription is sent to for their waiting times. Please allow 24 hours from your request to the chemist receiving your prescription.

Before buying a PPC, check if you’re entitled to free NHS prescriptions and other help with health costs using our eligibility checker.
What you get:
The NHSBSA will post your prescription prepayment certificate to you. Pharmacies ask for this as evidence of prepayment.
If you have to pay a prescription charge while waiting for your evidence, you can get a refund.
You will need to ask pharmacy staff for an NHS refund form (FP57) when you pay for your prescription.
You only get this form at the time you pay. You cannot get one later.
