When requesting an appointment you may be asked questions such as ‘is it for a minor illness like a cough, chest infection, urine infection, or skin conditions? Or something more urgent?’ This is not because the receptionist wishes to know the reason for your appointment, but because they want to make sure that you see the clinician most appropriate to treat your condition.
